Checking one text at a time on this site is free. Paid plans run the check for you: every week Slopcheck re-reads up to 20 published pages of your website, or 100 on Team, and flags each page that lost information or gained slop. On Team, your task tracker or CI also sends tasks to the API and gets the score back. Author costs $9 a month for 1 website; Team costs $49 for up to 5 websites and the API.

How the automation works
Add your pages
Enter the addresses of up to 20 published pages on Author or 100 on Team, once. Slopcheck reads the main text of each page and saves its information gain and slop as the starting point.
Slopcheck re-checks every week
Every week Slopcheck reads the live text of each page again. Pages whose wording changed or whose slop went up are flagged with the old and the new scores, for example gain down from 85% to 60%, so you know which page to fix first.
Every version is on record
Each checked version is saved as a text passport. Its link opens a page with the date of the check, both scores and the hash of the text. An agency sends it to the client together with the article; the client pastes the text and, if even 1 character differs, the hash does not match. Passports are kept while you are subscribed and 30 days after.
Tasks too, on Team
On Team, your task tracker or CI sends a task to the API as 1 HTTP request before the sprint. The score and the passport hash come back into a field of the task. Team includes 500 text passports a month and up to 5 websites.
